Checkout area (checkout & payment processing)

The checkout of our website is based on the Shopify technical platform. Shopify only allows customizations in this area via so-called checkout extensions, which enable structured design and function extensions, but no direct access to the source code or individual CSS.

Within the scope of these technical possibilities, we have taken all measures to improve accessibility in the checkout.

Reason: A fully accessible design in the checkout is currently only possible within the framework of the architecture specified by Shopify. An individual implementation of e.g. screen reader-specific HTML, alternative navigation structure or own contrast logic is not permitted.
